Gardner and Lambert divide motivation into two broad categories instrumental and integrative. They began to pay attention and to work when they were given a mop exam because they were all interested in the coming test. However, after thirty minutes when the period was coming to a an end, they just put everything away and got ready to leave. They acted as if the teacher wasn’t there.


I left the class with a feeling of sadness because those children weren’t motivated at all, we can do our best to try and motivate them, we can do everything in our power but sometimes that’s not enough.
